It's Fall Y'all!

It's officially the start of the best season of the year. Cooler breezes, beautiful colors, and of course, Halloween! While I love being able to go out during the summer, the Ohio humidity is not my friend, so when September rolls around, I'm one happy momma.

We've had some big changes in the past few months. We moved to a new city into a fantastic new house of our own and we could not be more happy about it. The area is absolutely perfect. Middle, Little and I have been exploring and going on new adventures.

Don't let Middle's face fool you, he's actually really excited too πŸ˜‚

So it's no secret that Momma loves Halloween. From about September 1 through October 31st is spooky season in our house. Decorations, trick or treat events, fall festivals, the whole nine yards. To be honest, I start planning family costumes in March πŸ˜‚ While I've been decorating and crafting already, I hadn't yet taken the boys on any fall related outings yet. Today's the first day of fall and the weather actually feels like fall, so it seemed like the perfect opportunity to visit a pumpkin patch!

So we've been driving past this place since we moved and I figured we'd eventually find our way there. It's within walking distance of our house even. I did a little reading about it before we came. Kleather's Pumpkin Patch has been open since 1976 and is a family run business.
I had a couple other errands to run this morning, but I promised Middle we'd have a fun adventure before we got home. As we drove by to pull in the parking lot, Middle spied the holy grail...a train!

I barely had him unbuckled from the seat before he was off and running. The whole patch was really cool. Tons of photo opportunities, pumpkins, and a farm store. Inside the train cars, Middle found pumpkins of every shape and size and in one special car, they had pigeons!

Once I was able to pry him away from the train, we explored the other cool spots outside. There was a life-sized pumpkin carriage...

and a super neat green tractor that even caught Little's attention...

There were a bunch of fun cutouts to pop your head into, but trying to get both Middle and Little to stand still that long to snap a picture was a little like trying to herd cats, especially with all the other stuff for them to explore. From chickens to giant pumpkins the size of Little, there was a lot to see outside.

There was a beautiful assortment of mums in every color, a miniature replica of the house, and by far the coolest part was the wagons. Ready for all your pumpkin carrying needs, these awesome little guys were waiting at the entrance, each with their own license plate.

Then we moved inside the store and wow! So much fun stuff inside! I told Middle we could pick out kid sized pumpkins for the day and a little treat.

We found two of the best pint-sized pumpkins for the littles to paint later and then moved over the goodies side. Of course Middle picked out a cake pop and Momma found a delectable looking Buckeye Brownie, which I'm sure I'll end up sharing with the both of them.

I don't think he even tasted his treat before it was gone, but it was adorable in the package πŸ˜‚

We definitely enjoyed our first visit to this patch and I'm so excited that its so close to home. I can see us popping in from time to time for more treats from the store. I'll be sure to post an update of our pumpkins once the boys are done painting!
