Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart
We just couldn't bear to miss this holiday...
January 18: National Winnie the Pooh Day
Created to celebrate creator and author of the series, A. A. Milne, this holiday encompasses all the goodness that is Pooh.
It occurred to me that Middle probably had no idea who Winnie was, as I don't believe we've ever played one of the cartoons for him not do we own any Pooh books. So to start our holiday, first we had to learn all about this wise bear.
He seemed entertained at first, I even caught a smile or two. But he soon started asking where the trains were 😂 I had to break it to him that there's no trains in the Hundred Acre Woods.
We watched a couple episodes and then decided to move onto our craft. Time to make some Hunny slime!
It's a fairly simple recipe and one which Middle can pretty much do on his own with a little help.
Start by mixing the glitter glue in a bowl with food coloring, water, baking soda, and contact solution. Middle's always had a bit of an issue with textures, so I wasn't sure how he'd respond to the finished product. He was timid at first.
But after a while, he was digging right in...
Eventually I had to peel him away from playing with it so that we could get some dinner. Winnie may not have been his cup of tea, but he sure does like the honey!
