My Soul's had Enough Chicken Noodle Soup, now it Needs Hot Cocoa

Back on Christmas, I gave the boys an experience box. One family adventure activity for each month of the year. You can read about the details here: https://countexploreblessings.blogspot.com/2021/12/oh-places-well-go.html

Tonight was the first of those family nights.

It's way too cold to be outside roasting marshmallows for our s'mores, so I built an indoor campfire.

After Big and Middle got their celebratory bubble baths, we moved to the dining room for our cocoa and s'more buffet.

Hot cocoa bombs, candy canes, chocolate stir sticks, and pink peppermint bark stuffed marshmallows in our adorable snowman mugs. Yum!

The boys enjoyed roasting their super-sized marshmallows.

And of course, eating them as well!

Once everyone had their fill of cocoa and s'mores, we moved into the living room for our movie. Big had originally selected the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle movie (which I still own on VHS!) but decided last minute to watch Despicable Me.

I'm calling our January family night a success!
